Few therapists are as knowledgeable and genuine as Dave is. Since I was a teenager, I have played competitive sports and massage therapy was never something I looked forward to. His method is refreshing–targeted, deep, and also sensitive to the recovery process. I highly recommend Dave to other athletes and anyone who has yet to experience his talented hands.-Yusef
Dave was absolutely amazing. After getting back into working out regularly, my muscles began to tighten and become sore. Dave loosened all the tight areas and was very professional explaining why each muscle tightened up and how to stretch them in order to prevent straining them again. Highly recommend Dave! Thanks again!-Jay M.
I would just like to give a shout out to Dave for his fantastic work. I have had my fair share of injuries from basketball to weightlifting and have not found anyone like Dave who can fix it. Dave took major hip pain away, and psoas pain away within one session each time. I had a major injury in the summer of 2014. 9 months still going with partial amount of it, my psoas pain (mentioned before) was gone in one session. We had thought it was a different part of my body but to our relief it was a surprise to how quick it was relieved. For the first time in 9 months, I could finally go to sleep without having any back pain, and able to wake up with no back pain. I'm 20 years old and understand that no one even close to my age "should not have that until they are a senior". He is an incredible massage therapist and would recommend him to any athlete who wants to elevate their results, gains, and relieve injuries.-Cam B.
I recently stressed my leg muscles doing some relatively simple yardwork (at age 46). Within three days I began experiencing painful sciatic nerve symptoms. Took ibuprofen and sought help for my condition from an acupuncturist. The results were helpful, but not what I had hoped for. After two and a half weeks I considered going to a chiropractor, but was worried that such treatment would be too aggressive and my aging body may end up getting hurt rather than helped - I was worried. Then I thought of massage as the right direction for relief, which led me to The Athlete's Therapeutic Massage. David was able to see me the same day I contacted him. I told him what happened and where my pain was and he explained what the likely course of events was which led to my lower back pain. I didn't really understand how overworking my dominant quad would cause sciatic nerve pain, but he explained how the muscles in my body are connected and work as a whole, and how working one muscle would affect a muscle in an entirely different region of my body. Then he began the therapy work I needed. I must say, of all the massage work I have ever had, this session was the only one where proper attention to help my body heal was being performed; it wasn't simply a massage. It was clear that the process and progression to massage my muscles which David employed was what I needed. After an hour I could stand in one place without the slow intensifying pain which I had previously experienced. In short, from this single session, it was very clear to me that David is a knowledgeable, well educated massage therapist that I can trust. I will be returning for more massage therapy.-Dan Fusco
